AFC Challenge Cup in Nepal

AFC 2012 NepalFIFA President Joseph S. Blatter will be coming to NEPAL on Thursday, 8th March 2012, leading a delegation of officials. The main reason behind his visit is the opening ceremony of the AFC Challenge Cup.

Its the great opportunity for NEPAL to host the Challenge Cup. Its the biggest sporting event ever organized by the country. The country with eight of the world’s ten highest mountain peaks is now raising to the new height in football too. The tournament will be viewed by thousands of Football fans from around the world. Dasarath Stadium and Halchowk Stadium will be hosting the matches.

The Nepalese national team is surely with high motivation on home soil and try its best to earn themselves a place at the prestigious AFC Asian Cup, in 2015. We all Nepalese are expecting much more better performance than that of last December’s South Asian Football Federation Championship.AFC Teams

On TV: Kantipur TV has obtained the broadcasting rights for matches played in Dasarath Stadium. and Image Channel will be broadcasting those matches played in Halchowk Stadium. Apart from Nepal, TV channels from other countries will also broadcast the tournament.
